However, as they are plated overpolishing will eventually result in damage to the plating exposing the steel base metal.

It is best to allow your coins to obtain a natural patina over time and as they are used in your games but if you do polish them then it is best to do so lightly and occasionally.

For polishing any gentle metal polish will suffice, even a small amount of normal toothpaste will work.

These coins are made from steel and are magnetic.

They are plated with copper, nickel, and brass.
